Overview
The EHS Specialist – Data & Analytics role is where safety meets strategy. This position goes beyond traditional EHS responsibilities by combining hands-on fieldwork, audits and inspections, with advanced data analysis that drives real business decisions. This position transforms safety and environmental data into actionable insights, shaping KPIs, improving performance, and influencing how we protect our people, environment and operations.
Functional Description
- Collect, validate, and analyze EHS and sustainability data to support organizational KPIs and metrics.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and Microsoft tools (Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
- Support preparation of internal reports and external regulatory submissions.
- Identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities through data analysis and direct observations.
- Assist in creating and delivering safety and environmental training sessions to CAF USA employees, including safety orientations to outside contractors.
- Participate in incident investigations, and assist with corrective actions under the guidance of senior EHS personnel.
- Maintain EHS documentation and report on safety and environmental performance metrics.
- Support preparation for EHS audits and work with senior staff on implementing audit recommendations.
- Interpret and apply federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc).
- Assist in ensuring compliance with environmental permits, reporting requirements, and safety standards.
- Assist in creating reports, presentations, and training content.
- Assist in tracking EHS-related training and awareness initiatives across the site.
- Conduct site safety and environmental inspections.
- Monitor regulatory updates and communicate impacts to the organization.
- Promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Training/Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline preferred
- Professional certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30) preferred
- 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with a strong focus on EHS data analysis, performance metrics, and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, SharePoint, and similar applications.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and precision in documentation and reporting.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proactive and resourceful, with a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to engage directly in tasks and support team members with hands-on assistance.
- Willingness to attend trainings and meetings.
Safety Requirements
- Shall report all injuries/illnesses to their supervisor that occur at work, the day of the incident.
- Shall report any unsafe conditions that are identified in their respective work area to their supervisor.
- Shall comply with all CAF USA safety policies, procedures, and requirements that are communicated to them, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures.
- Shall wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is communicated and supplied to them.
- Shall keep their respective work area clean and orderly at all times.
- Shall attend all CAF USA required training as soon as possible before the start of their assigned work.
- Shall not operate any CAF USA equipment (forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts) until certified to do so.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 to $90,000 annually.
