CAF Israel is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to join the Tel Aviv Purple Line Project.

This is an exciting opportunity to take part in one of Israel’s leading infrastructure projects and play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety, health, and environmental compliance across multiple project sites.

The role includes leading and supervising all EHS-related activities on-site, working closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures, conducting risk assessments, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting the successful delivery of the project from both a safety and environmental perspective.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all safety and environmental aspects of the project while coordinating with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and implement safety and environmental systems in accordance with company regulations, procedures, and client requirements.
  • Ensure that safety and environmental plans are implemented throughout project execution and updated according to work progress, including risk assessments, reporting, and KPI monitoring.
  • Ensure that all employees and contractors working on-site comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in safety committee meetings.
  • Conduct safety briefings and training sessions for employees.
  • Manage safety activities with subcontractors while ensuring work is carried out according to procedures and regulations.
  • Prepare incident investigation reports, including root causes, consequences of accidents or safety failures, and required corrective actions with responsible parties.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager regarding safety incidents and provide professional guidance for corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Certified Safety Officer qualification – mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field; experience managing safety in international infrastructure projects is an advantage.
  • Experience in environmental and sustainability management, including preparation and implementation of systems and programs.
  • High level of English (spoken, reading, and writing) – mandatory.
  • Willingness to work across multiple company work sites.
