Role Overview
The Communications Installation Supervisor plays a key role in the delivery of railway telecommunications systems, supporting the Communications Installation Manager throughout the installation and testing phases of the project. This position is responsible for coordinating on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, monitoring progress, and addressing deviations to ensure successful and timely delivery of telecommunications subsystems.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Communications Installation Manager in defining and implementing the Installation and Testing Management Plan for telecommunications subsystems.• Coordinate and supervise the installation and testing activities of railway telecommunications systems, including networks, wireless transmission systems, SCADA and traffic systems.
• Monitor progress, quality, and compliance of installation and testing works, and prepare regular progress reports.
• Identify deviations from the approved plans and schedules, and define and implement corrective action plans.
• Lead and manage change processes during construction, installation, and testing phases, including technical, scheduling, and contractual variations.
• Act as an interface with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, supporting coordination and negotiation activities when required.
• Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with project requirements, safety standards, and quality procedures.

Required Education, Experience and Skills
• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in railway or transportation projects.
• Proven experience in the installation and testing of railway telecommunications subsystems (networks, wireless transmission systems, SCADA, traffic systems).
• Strong technical knowledge of railway telecommunications equipment and systems.
• Experience working with clients and suppliers, including coordination and negotiation.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage.
