Railway Junior Systems Engineer
JERUSALEM, IL
Location - Jerusalem, Israel.
We are seeking a motivated Junior System Engineer to support our ongoing railway infrastructure project, focusing on the integration of complex subsystems such as SCADA, AVLS, AFC, PA, PIS, and telecom.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer eager to gain real-world experience in the design, testing, and commissioning of large-scale railway systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and integration of technical interfaces between multiple railway subsystems.
- Support the tracking, verification, and validation of system requirements across project phases.
- Participate in testing & commissioning activities including data logging, issue identification, and resolution tracking.
- Work with engineering leads to document system configurations, integration plans, and test results.
- Contribute to change management processes, including version tracking and issue escalation.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to gather and clarify technical data.
- Analyze and interpret electrical drawings, network schematics, and communication interfaces.
- Prepare and update documentation, reports, and internal communication notes for engineering reviews.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Systems Engineering (recent graduates welcome).
- Strong technical understanding of system architecture, interfaces, and integration logic.
- Exposure to railway or transportation systems is a plus (internships, academic projects, or previous roles).
- Familiarity with tools like Excel, Power Point, Visio, AutoCAD (basic), and test reporting formats.
- Understanding of networking, software versioning, and telemetry is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English; Hebrew /Spanish or Arabic is a plus.
