Overview

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) drives organization-wide initiatives in performance management and continuous improvement, ensuring that programs are data-driven and aligned with strategic priorities. This role manages the full life cycle of talent acquisition, from sourcing top candidates to onboarding, while supporting retention, training, promotion, and succession planning efforts. The HRBP also serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to foster a high-performing and engaged workforce.

Functional Description

  • Manage new talent evaluation processes to align with business goals and build an internal pipeline of high-potential employees.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain workforce and leadership data to inform targeted development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Develop and manage programs for workforce retention, internal promotion, and succession planning.
  • Oversee the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including job descriptions, performance standards, and evaluation tools.
  • Ensure talent management programs are aligned with operational priorities and drive organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies, fostering strong relationships that positively impact the hiring process.
  • Manage full life cycle recruitment for full-time, temporary, and intern positions, from job posting through onboarding, meeting defined time-to-fill and quality-of-hire metrics.
  • Develop innovative and creative sourcing techniques to build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Contribute to organizational strategic planning and provide guidance on policy and program implementation.
  • Research, plan, and assist training manager in creating training programs and calendars that enhance workforce skills and performance.
  • Conduct presentations and deliver employee and leadership training programs as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws by monitoring regulatory changes, conducting investigations, and maintaining accurate HR records.
  • Promote a workplace culture that supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunity in alignment with the organization’s DEI initiatives.
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers, supervisors, and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide backup support for payroll processing as needed, including validating payroll data, reviewing and reconciling production hours, and assisting with final payroll submission.

Training/Education Required

  • Bachelors’ degree required preferably in Human Resources, or Organizational Management.  Master’s Degree and SHRM certification (equivalent) preferred.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in manufacturing.  Rail, Aerospace, or Automotive experience is highly desired

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Advanced personal computer and basic software applications (Microsoft Suite - Excel)
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
  • Record-keeping techniques
  • Ability to form, lead, and drive teams related to HR
  • This is a full time position: Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • Participate in human resource operations and activities of the Department
  • Plan and organize work to meet time constraints and deadlines
  • Analyze situations and data, identify problems and recommend solutions
  • Establish, maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others

Safety Requirements

 

  • Shall report all injuries/illnesses to their supervisor that occur at work, the day of the incident
  • Shall report any unsafe conditions that are identified in their respective work area to their supervisor
  • Shall comply with all CAF USA safety policies, procedures, and requirements that are communicated to them, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures
  • Shall wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is communicated and supplied to them
  • Shall keep their respective work area clean and orderly at all times
  • Shall attend all CAF USA required training as soon as possible before the start of their assigned work
  • Shall NOT operate any CAF USA equipment (forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts) until certified to do so

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000 to $100,000 annually.
