Mission of the position

The Financial Manager supervises, controls and effectively communicates the fiscal operations of CAF-USA to provide information and guidance to the Directors or Managers of each department (Staff).  This position is a key member of the Management Team.

Functions and responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of CAF-SA, evaluate, develop and recommend, SUPPORTED BY THE International Tax Group Department, fiscal policies for CAF-USA that will result in sound fiscal management
  • Analyze, interpret and communicate, with the support and supervision of the Financial Group Department, financial operating results to provide information and guidance to department managers
  • Maintain all official accounting records in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Oversee the operation of the department finance data processing system (BAAN)
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of the annual budget for CAF-USA with the support and supervision of subsidiary Department at Parent
  • Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
  • Maintain the financial health of the organization
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans (budgets and forecasts)
  • Develop trends and projections for CAF –USA’s finances
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
  • Liaison with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
  • Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
  • The individual shall be fully responsible and accountable for all safety and environmental compliance within their designated area, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, organizational policies, and operational standards without exception.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Training/education required

  • BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics from an accredited university
  • 5 years of experience in Audit firms. Prior experience in the position will be a plus

Qualifications/requirements

  • Self-Starter capable of resolving financial issues as they arise and/or coordinating and implementing solutions with the support of the finance office
  • Must have strong leadership skills and the highest degree of integrity and ethics and the ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
  • Must have strong communication skills both oral and written. 
  • Understanding oral and written Spanish highly desirable but not required
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Knowledge of US Gaaps
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA/CPA/CMA or similar desirable but not required.

Safety Requirements

  • Shall report all injuries/illnesses to their supervisor that occur at work, the day of the incident
  • Shall report any unsafe conditions that are identified in their respective work area to their supervisor
  • Shall comply with all CAF USA safety policies, procedures, and requirements that are communicated to them, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures
  • Shall wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is communicated and supplied to them
  • Shall keep their respective work area clean and orderly at all times
  • Shall attend all CAF USA required training as soon as possible before the start of their assigned work
  • Shall NOT operate any CAF USA equipment (forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts) until certified to do so

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,000 to $155,000 annually.
