We are currently seeking a Site Manager - Train Completion that will be directly reporting to the Senior Project Manager within the Mindyarra Maintenance Centre based in Dubbo. The role is responsible for leading, coordination and managing the assembly, testing and delivery activities of the CAF Vehicle area within the Depot facility in Dubbo. The role will ensure, compliance with planning, cost, quality, training and WHS whilst leading teams to maintain a positive working culture for project success. Key to the role will be to work with stakeholders and internal teams for activities that allow CAF project priorities to be managed at the Dubbo facility as priority. This role will report to CAF local manager but have input from overseas department managers also.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and coordinate internal teams for appropriate actions aligned to key deliverables. These include Manufacturing, Quality, Testing, Logistics/Warehouse, Purchasing.
• Coordinate the technical, quality, logistics and engineering related issues that arise during the manufacturing and testing & commissioning processes.
• Able to work under pressure and tight schedule milestones.
• Easy and capable of adequately managing groups of people.
• Prioritize capabilities externally and internally. To think out of the box and make decisions.
• Analise the needs and conflicts between departments and transfer where required the needs to depot stakeholders i.e. depot operator (Maintenance Subcontractor).
• Able to deal and manage with ongoing issues with materials, modifications, customers
• Ensure that productivity and target quality level are achieved on a daily basis
• Communicate and network with other departmental managers regarding department performance to ensure targets are met.
• Able to identify and anticipate the main risks related to production and testing that could cause excessive costs and delays along the production line.
• Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and visitors. The role will be responsible to agree and coordinate with Australian WHS corporate resource site Work Health & Safety obligations.
• Adequate understanding of CAF's situation within the Depot, ensuring smooth coordination and relationship with Contractors and the Client, daily, understanding and following the Interface agreements in place between CAF and depot stakeholders
• The role will be responsible to coordinate the training activities to be performed by different employees according to CAF and Australian safety needs at the depot. The role will also coordinate the remaining OEM training activities for the rolling stock systems, to fulfill the necessities to maintain and operate the train by the stakeholders.
• Set departmental goals/KPI's and review and evaluate ongoing performance of direct reports.
• Manage and lead the team, ensuring proper staffing levels, managing vacation assignments, hiring, training, development, appraisal, support, disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximize efficient productivity.
PROFILE
• Previous Rail Project experience preferred
• Management experience , qualifications preferred
• Knowledge of current document control standards and able to read and understand schematics
• Experience with microsoft office suite of programmes.
• Strong organization skills with a problem-solving, decision making attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven history contributing to a team effort in project environments.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage own and others workloads.
• Experience in managing multi-discipline teams.
• Proactive and hardworking attitude.
• Understanding when to escalate issues.
• Experience in Rail training activities and requirements.
• Experience and qualifications in WHS policies implementation in the Rail sector in accordance with National Rail Safety law.
• Flexibility to change working timeframes to coordinate with onsite requirements and Spain working timeframes.
• Proven experience in Team binder or similar documentation system advantageous

As part of the Regional Rail project, the Mindyarra Maintenance Centre in Dubbo will receive a new talented team for train completion works (Manufacturing, Testing and Quality activities), with potential transition in the future to the Warranty & Maintenance teams.
