Mission of the Position

Accelerate and improve the release of documentation to clear import shipments for train parts and equipment.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Understand the process of documentation issuance and improve it.
  • Ensure the documentation for each shipment arrives to the correct person in NAT to speed up the technical acceptance
  • Request from CAF Spain any technical information that may ne necessary for NAT to technically clear the shipment
  • Issue the draft tax letter and ensure it arrives to the right persons at NAT
  • Ensure the tax letter is issued as fast as possible, obtaining from CAF Spain or CAF Egypt whatever information is necessary and delivering it to NAT and Minister of Finance
  • Ensure the tax letter is delivered to Sofitrans (CAF agent in Egypt)
  • Ensure a fast release of cargo.
  • Keep track of the situation of each shipment, arrival to port, request documentation from Spain, if necessary, keep a file with arrival / dispatch / duration of shipments, status of documentation and time spent in the port.
  • Check the port costs to accept Sofitrans invoices.

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics or business .

     

Technical and/or Practical Knowledge Valued

  • have at least one to two years in logistics.
  • proficient in MS office. 
  • English Level B2.
