Role Overview
The Communications Installation Supervisor plays a key role in the delivery of railway telecommunications systems, supporting the Communications Installation Manager throughout the installation and testing phases of the project. This position is responsible for coordinating on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, monitoring progress, and addressing deviations to ensure successful and timely delivery of telecommunications subsystems.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Communications Installation Manager in defining and implementing the Installation and Testing Management Plan for telecommunications subsystems.
• Coordinate and supervise the installation and testing activities of railway telecommunications systems, including networks, wireless transmission systems, SCADA and traffic systems.
• Monitor progress, quality, and compliance of installation and testing works, and prepare regular progress reports.
• Identify deviations from the approved plans and schedules, and define and implement corrective action plans.
• Lead and manage change processes during construction, installation, and testing phases, including technical, scheduling, and contractual variations.
• Act as an interface with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, supporting coordination and negotiation activities when required.
• Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with project requirements, safety standards, and quality procedures.

Required Education, Experience and Skills
• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in railway or transportation projects.
• Proven experience in the installation and testing of railway telecommunications subsystems (networks, wireless transmission systems, SCADA, traffic systems).
• Strong technical knowledge of railway telecommunications equipment and systems.
• Experience working with clients and suppliers, including coordination and negotiation.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage.
