JOB PURPOSE:

  • Promoting safety achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
  • Develop, implement and maintain EHS plan to bring the Company’s Safety Systems and Policies into compliance with system requirements.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

  • Maintain compliance with all safety regulations
  • Practice safe working techniques.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
  • Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques.
  • Standardize health and safety in order to remain consistent.
  • Identify hazardous waste and disposing of it correctly in the workshop
  • Prepare Risk assessment and SMOW(safe method of work)
  • Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measures
  • Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance.
  • Document staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management.
  • Regularly inspect equipment and PPE.
  • Regular inspect the work and activities.
  • Prepare and conduct Safety bulletin/ tool box talk
  • Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
  • Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and applying preventive measures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety or NEBOSH DIPLOMA
  • 3 years prior experience in EHS department.
  • Registration as a Health and Safety Officer.
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of quality & EHS standards.
  • Experience in EHS system audits.
  • Demonstrates a passion and a responsibility for consumer.
  • Willingness to travel when required.

  • Knowledge of following standard
  • ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007 – HSE System
  • ISO 9001 : 2015 - Quality Management System.
