Mission of the position
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager is responsible for analysing, maintaining, and improving organizational performance. Carry out action plans to improve operational performance measurement General: Improvement of operational performance, compliance with Continuous Improvement roadmap commitments, deployment of Lean manufacturing (benchmark, audit and simulation)
Functions and responsibilities
- Deployment
- Be the Leader in the deployment of Lean culture and Continuous Improvement on CAF Rolling Stock sites
- Promote a culture of operational excellence by anchoring and supporting implementation on the ground
- Pilot and support Kaizen projects using Lean tools and identifying associated gains
- Proactively identifies improvement actions to deploy to increase our operational performance
- Deploy Value stream Mapping process on regular basis
- Deployment in the field (training + digitalization of tools) of first-level continuous improvement methodologies (suggestions idea, kaizen, 5S, 5 whys, PDCA, A3, etc.),
- Audits
- Encourages, participates
- Conducts internal lean audits
- Benchmarks
- Participate in internal or external benchmarking, see organized according to the event
- Deploys identified best practices
- Animation
- Proposes, structures and leads continuous improvement projects
- Ensure a strong presence in the departments and support to encourage creativity
- Conducts welcome training for new arrivals
Required professional experience
Relevant experience or a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, process management, or operations or relevant experience
Proficient in project management software
Certified Lean Six Sigma Black
Knowledge of implementing key lean manufacturing principles, tools, techniques, project management principles, such as : -
Lean tools: 5S/ VSM / SMED / KAIZEN site/ Problem solving
