What will be your role in the company?

 

The Technical Training Lead will work as part of the CAF Rail UK Training & Competence team to develop and deliver comprehensive technical training packages in support of all CAF UK fleets.

 

Drawing on the technical knowledge of the post holder, this role will focus on the creation of a technical training library, conducting skills analysis across technical teams, developing cross-system e-learning, and responds to emerging trends and incidents in product and people development.

 

Training packages will include vehicle familiarisation, in-depth systems training, maintenance and overhaul procedures and will be used to enhance the skills and knowledge of our operational teams across all UK projects.

 

Responsible to the Training and Competence Manager you will ensure the creation and delivery of detailed training packages in response to customer requirements whilst adhering to regulatory standards, industry codes of practice, strategies, and policies sufficient to the safe use, operation, and maintenance of Traction and Rolling Stock.

 

You will also be responsible for assisting CAF Rail UK in maintaining the integrity of its ROGS compliance as well as supporting risk management and safety performance activities.

 

What salary will you be paid for this position?

 

As a Real Living Wage Employer, we are proud to pay competitively at CAF. For this role you will be offered a salary in region of £43,000 and £46,000 per annum.

 

 

 

What will make you successful in this position?

 

To succeed in this role you will need:

 

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant field of mechanical / electrical engineering.
  • Level 4 Training delivery qualification (e.g. CTLLS) or Lv.3 with sufficient evidenced experience.
  • Experience of instructional design and strong proficiency in the use of digital authoring tools.
  • Proven experience in delivering technical training within the rail or other relevant industry.
  • Strong understanding of train systems (e.g. traction, braking, signalling, control systems).
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry standards.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Familiarity with competence-based training and assessment frameworks.
