Railway Signalling Expert

At CAF Signalling, the technological subsidiary of CAF Group, we are focused on the design, development, manufacturing, supply and maintenance of Rail Signalling Systems, thus providing integrated signalling solutions for infrastructures and rolling stock, both in Spain and internationally.
We are looking for a Signalling Engineer expert on railway/tramway signalling facilities, both for trackside and onboard activities, to work on our present and future projects.
Purpose of the job
- Technical leadership of project.
- Coordinate and supervise the different activities within the project team (designers, installers, testers, providers…).
- Plan the different activities together with PMO and Project Manager.
- Identify modifications and deviations from the project scope (risk and opportunities).
- Keep client and operator and maintainer relationship from technical approach.

Key responsibilities:
- Leadership of internal progress meeting with project team.
- Review of main documents for project execution (design, commissioning, …).
- Review of project plannings (internal and EPC).
- Identification of deviations and new requirements.
- Participate in meetings with client, operator, maintainer, providers.
Job Requirements:
Relevant Experience required
- Graduated as Electronics or Telecoms or Computer Systems Engineer.
- Professional experience: At least, 3 years.
- Hands-on experience and passion in railways.
- English proficient (spoken and written skills).
- Background and knowledge in signalling systems is highly recommended: Interlockings, track detection systems, ATP, AVLS, etc.
Experience preferred:
- Experience in Tram signalling systems (AVLS, ATP, etc) will be specially valued.
- Knowledge of solutions from different suppliers and train management systems will be valued.
- Spanish language notions will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge and understanding of the Installation, Test and Commissioning process railway/tramway signalling installations, both trackside and onboard subsystems.
- Familiar with railway standards and norms CENELEC EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129.
- General computer knowledge.
Interpersonal & Communications Skills:
- Methodical and orderly person, willing to work and who wants to integrate into a long-term business project.
- Social competency to deal with colleagues, customers and managers.
- Communicative, organisation and teamwork skills.
- Leadership ship role in client meetings.
- Organisational competency: ability to plan and prepare the works.
- Be able to work independently and make own decisions.
