Mission of the position

As a Financial Controller, your mission is to oversee and ensure full compliance with the economic and financial management processes of CAF’s international subsidiaries in Egypt and Greece. You will act as the primary financial counterpart within the Rehabilitation Unit, ensuring accurate accounting, tax management, cost allocation, treasury control, and financial reporting.
You will collaborate closely with the Eco-Fin Management team and internal departments to guarantee transparency, financial discipline, and alignment with corporate procedures and regulatory requirements.

Functions and responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with accounting, tax, and financial obligations for CAF Egypt and CAF Greece.

  • Guarantee accurate and timely cost allocation across projects and departments.

  • Manage payments, collections, and treasury planning for both subsidiaries.

  • Support project financial control, including risks, opportunities, and performance tracking.

  • Oversee administrative management such as supplier contracts, office coordination, visa processes, and travel arrangements.

  • Manage and maintain inter-company contracts (parent–subsidiary).

  • Prepare and present financial status updates and reports to Eco-Fin Management.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with corporate financial policies and procedures.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement in financial processes and internal controls.

  • Perform additional financial and administrative duties as assigned by management.

Education required

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Certifications (Preferred)

    • CMA, ACCA, CPA, or MBA (Finance) are highly valued for this position.

    • IFRS Diploma is preferred, especially for roles involving international reporting.

    • CFA certification is considered a strong plus.

Required professional experience

  • Previous experience in a similar Finance/Eco-Fin role is highly valued.

  • Proven ability in handling accounting, treasury, and financial control tasks.

  • Background in working within multinational or multicultural environments is a plus.

Technical and/or practical knowledge valued

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and tax regulations.

  • Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP and BAAN.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools such as SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) or Power BI.

  • Solid understanding of cost allocation methodologies and project financial control.

  • Experience in treasury management, payments, and collections processes.

  • Knowledge of inter-company financial operations and corporate reporting standards.

  • Familiarity with administrative processes including supplier contracts, office administration, and travel/visa coordination.
