Your mission:

 

  • You review and evaluate technical specifications in order to find solutions in the offer phase that best suit CAF and the customer's requirements.
  • You take responsibility for the functional definition and validation of rail vehicles.
  • You will be involved in the creation of functional specifications at train level and at the logical and electrical interfaces to subsystems.
  • You will support the creation of documents in the design, verification and validation phase, in particular at the interface with customers and certifiers.
  • You will be involved in the specification, development and validation of the software at assignment level.
  • You will help to define test scenarios and carry out functional tests and functional validation on the vehicle, in particular at the interface with customers and certifiers.
  • You accompany all phases of requirements management.
  • You actively participate in the design and revision process with customers and suppliers.
  • You analyze and respond to comments and questions from customers during the design and validation process.
  • You play a supporting role in customer meetings and meetings with authorities.
  • You will support manufacturing processes, e.g. as part of the validation of design solutions, initial inspections or change processes.

 

That way you will be successful in the job:

 

  • You have experience in the development and validation of rail vehicles, ideally for German customers.
  • You are familiar with common development tools (e.g. Matlab Simulink) and communication protocols (e.g. Ethernet, CAN Open, RS485, MVB).
  • You have experience in understanding and revising circuit diagrams.
  • You have experience in working with system suppliers and customers.
  • You have knowledge of agile methods (e.g. Scrum) and formal methods (e.g. development of safety-critical architectures) in software development.
  • You understand contractual, technical and regulatory aspects of the rail industry.
  • You have a proven track record in the development and approval of technically challenging systems in complex projects.
  • You are proficient in handling, interpreting and using technical specifications as well as legal and normative requirements.
  • You are fluent in German and English or Spanish.
  • You are characterized by structured work, adaptability and result orientation.
  • You have good interpersonal skills, work independently at a high level and are willing to travel, mainly to Spaon and within Germany.
