Deputy General Manager
The Liège Tram is a 12-kilometer line running between Standard and Coronmeuse, with a branch on the right bank of the Meuse River connecting to the maintenance and storage center.
Tram Liège Maintenance is responsible for the maintenance and major servicing of the 20 trams, fixed installations, the operation of park-and-ride facilities, and future extensions between Herstal and Seraing.
The maintenance center is located in Bressoux.
We are looking for a General Manager to lead the maintenance company.
Responsibilities
As General Manager, you will prepare and execute the contract deliverables during the operational phase (27 years) and co-lead the maintenance company.
Your specific responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the maintenance company during the mobilization phase of the tram line.
- Designing, planning, and overseeing the Quality, Safety, and Environment (QSE) system.
- Developing and monitoring procedures.
- Defining the objectives of the maintenance company.
- Supervising the implementation of routine maintenance, major servicing, and technical modifications.
- Overseeing the company’s budget management.
- Recruiting the Tram Liège Maintenance team.
- Managing the leadership team: board meetings, individual meetings, annual reviews.
- Representing Tram Liège Maintenance in meetings.
This position is both creative and rigorous. You must be able to think outside the box, be proactive, and have a determined mindset.
Profile
As General Manager, your profile includes:
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Significant experience in project management or industrial maintenance activities, preferably in the railway sector.
- General knowledge of the IT industry, information systems, architectures, and technical environments.
- Versatile technical knowledge, preferably in railway and/or electrical/electronic systems.
- Proficiency in technical English.
- Autonomy, proactivity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Drive to exceed expectations, with a strong results- and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal communication, synthesis ability, and punctuality.
